AOD-9604

AOD-9604 is a modified fragment of the C-terminus of human growth hormone (residues 176–191), studied for lipolytic and fat-metabolism pathways without the growth-promoting activity of full-length GH. Supplied lyophilised for laboratory research use only.

Why does the vial look empty?
That’s normal. The peptide is supplied lyophilised (freeze-dried) — often a thin film or a few milligrams at the base of the vial, easy to mistake for empty. It’s all there; reconstitute with bacteriostatic water before use.
Research handling note
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water and store the lyophilised vial at −20 °C until use; once reconstituted, refrigerate and use within the documented window. For laboratory research purposes only — not for human consumption, diagnostic, or therapeutic use. Need to work out your dilution? Use the reconstitution calculator

AOD-9604 — research profile

For research purposes only — not for human consumption

AOD-9604 is a modified peptide based on the C-terminal fragment (residues 176–191) of human growth hormone — the region associated with GH’s fat-metabolising activity. It was designed to isolate the lipolytic portion of the molecule while leaving out the growth-promoting, IGF-1-raising activity of the full hormone.

Research models study its effect on lipolysis (fat breakdown) and lipogenesis, reporting activity on fat metabolism without the changes to blood glucose or IGF-1 seen with intact growth hormone.

How it’s studied

  • Lipolysis: stimulation of fat breakdown in adipose-tissue models.
  • Lipogenesis: reported inhibition of new fat formation.
  • GH selectivity: lipolytic action without IGF-1 elevation or glucose effects.

Areas under investigation

AreaReported research focus
Fat metabolismAdipose lipolysis and lipogenesis pathways.
Metabolic selectivitySeparation of lipolytic from growth-promoting activity.

Verifiability

Batch Testing & COA

Every production batch is sent for independent, third-party analysis at Janoshik Analytical. When results return, the full Certificate of Analysis for the exact batch you receive is published here and in our COA library, carrying its SHA-256 checksum and the lot number printed on your vial, so you can confirm the document is genuine and untampered. We publish every certificate, including any that fail.
