Why does the vial look empty?
That’s normal. The peptide is supplied lyophilised (freeze-dried) — often a thin film or a few milligrams at the base of the vial, easy to mistake for empty. It’s all there; reconstitute with bacteriostatic water before use.

Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide growth-hormone secretagogue and agonist of the ghrelin / GH-secretagogue receptor. It is described in the literature as the first selective GH secretagogue — stimulating GH release with minimal effect on cortisol, ACTH or prolactin.

That selectivity is the main reason it is studied as a research tool: it allows examination of GH pathways without the off-target hormonal noise seen with earlier secretagogues.
