Why does the vial look empty?
That’s normal. The peptide is supplied lyophilised (freeze-dried) — often a thin film or a few milligrams at the base of the vial, easy to mistake for empty. It’s all there; reconstitute with bacteriostatic water before use.
Research handling note
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water and store the lyophilised vial at −20 °C until use; once reconstituted, refrigerate and use within the documented window. For laboratory research purposes only — not for human consumption, diagnostic, or therapeutic use. Need to work out your dilution? Use the reconstitution calculator

Retatrutide — research profile

For research purposes only — not for human consumption

Retatrutide is a single-molecule triple-receptor agonist that simultaneously engages the GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors. It is among the most-discussed compounds in current metabolic research following large phase-2 clinical readouts.

By combining three incretin and energy-metabolism pathways in one peptide, research models examine effects on energy intake, energy expenditure and hepatic lipid handling that single- or dual-agonists do not fully reproduce.

How it’s studied

  • GLP-1 receptor: satiety signalling and glucose-dependent insulin pathways.
  • GIP receptor: insulin response and adipose-tissue handling.
  • Glucagon receptor: energy expenditure and hepatic lipid mobilisation.
  • Body composition: dose-dependent fat-mass change in clinical cohorts.

Areas under investigation

AreaReported research focus
Weight regulationDose-dependent reductions in body weight in phase-2 cohorts.
Glycaemic controlGlucose-dependent insulin-secretion pathways.
Hepatic lipidsGlucagon-linked mobilisation of liver fat.

Verifiability

Batch Testing & COA

Every production batch is sent for independent, third-party analysis at Janoshik Analytical. When results return, the full Certificate of Analysis for the exact batch you receive is published here and in our COA library, carrying its SHA-256 checksum and the lot number printed on your vial, so you can confirm the document is genuine and untampered. We publish every certificate, including any that fail.
