Why does the vial look empty?

That’s normal. The peptide is supplied lyophilised (freeze-dried) — often a thin film or a few milligrams at the base of the vial, easy to mistake for empty. It’s all there; reconstitute with bacteriostatic water before use.

BPC-157 (Body-Protection Compound 157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide — a stable 15-amino-acid sequence corresponding to a fragment of a protective protein identified in human gastric juice. Its notable stability in aqueous and acidic conditions is a large part of why it is one of the most-studied peptides in tissue-repair research.

Research models attribute much of its activity to promotion of angiogenesis and modulation of growth-factor and nitric-oxide pathways, with reported effects on tendon, ligament, muscle and gastrointestinal tissue.

How it’s studied

Angiogenesis: up-regulation of VEGFR2 signalling and new blood-vessel formation in repair models.
Tendon & ligament: fibroblast migration and collagen organisation in connective-tissue studies.
Gut integrity: mucosal protection and the gut–brain axis in gastrointestinal models.
